Intraday Electricity Pricing of Night Contracts

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
This paper investigates the intraday electricity pricing of 15-min. contracts in night hours. We tailor a recently introduced econometric model with fundamental impacts, which is successful in describing the pricing of day contracts.

Triad analysis of global energy trade networks and implications for energy trade stability

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
An international push to decarbonize economies has initiated a major transition in the global energy system and has begun to disrupt the intricate network of energy trade. As trade patterns begin to reconfigure, it is important that policy makers understand how vulnerabilities of the existing network may present obstacles to a smooth energy transition.

Cooperative negawatt P2P energy trading for low-voltage distribution networks

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, the formation and feasibility of negawatt (nW) peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading in a grid-connected energy network are studied. In particular, a framework is presented to introduce nW P2P trading concept in the local electricity market in

A survey on energy trading in smart grid [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing (GlobalSIP), 2014
As the distributed energy generation and storage technologies are becoming economically viable, energy trading is gradually becoming a profit making option for end-users. This trend is further supported by the regulators and the policy makers as it aids the efficiency of power grid operations, reduces power generation cost and the Green House Gas (GHG)
