Energy Abundance, Trade and Industry Location [PDF]
Do countries with large energy endowments attract energy-intensive firms? We study the role of energy in comparative advantages. Indeed, we find that energy abundant countries have higher export shares for energy intensive sectors and higher economic activity in these sectors.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Virtual Power Plant Quotation Strategy Based on Information Gap Decision Theory
To further enhance the regulatory potential of distributed energy resource (DER), based on the information gap decision theory (IGDT), the bidding methods for virtual power plants (VPPs) participating in demand response (DR) strategies are divided into ...

Distributed robust operation strategy of multi‐microgrid based on peer‐to‐peer multi‐energy trading
In microgrid (MG) systems, traditional centralised energy trading models can lead to issues such as low energy efficiency due to unstable energy supply and lack of flexibility.

Optimal energy trade-off schedules [PDF]
We consider scheduling tasks that arrive over time on a speed scalable processor. At each time a schedule specifies a job to be run and the speed at which the processor is run. Processors are generally less energy efficient at higher speeds. We seek to understand the structure of schedules that optimally trade-off the energy used by the processor with ...

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...

When Energy Trading Meets Blockchain in Electrical Power System: The State of the Art
With the rapid growth of renewable energy resources, energy trading has been shifting from the centralized manner to distributed manner. Blockchain, as a distributed public ledger technology, has been widely adopted in the design of new energy trading ...

ABSTRACT Objective Neurochemical levels measured by brain MR spectroscopy (MRS) have been proposed as endpoints for clinical trials in early‐stage spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) trials. We tested their trial‐readiness by quantifying neurochemicals in three affected brain regions in early‐stage cohorts of SCA2 and SCA3, examining their reproducibility in ...
