Energy transfer in photosynthesis
International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1976A theoretical model is presented to account for the physical mechanism of energy transfer from antenna molecules to the reaction centers in photosynthesis. The energy transfer is described by a generalized transport equation or "master equation". The solution of this equation for the proposed model gives a relationship between the antennae interaction ...

Energy transference for sensornets
Proceedings of the 8th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems, 2010In many cases, sensornets require continuous monitoring, 24x7, at remote, inaccessible locations making energy management a critical part of most sensornets. The sensornet research community has explored energy conservation and energy harvesting to address this problem of long-lived sensornets.

Energy transfer in aqueous solution
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biophysics including Photosynthesis, 1961Abstract The photodecomposition of the polyene fungicide pimaricin and the photoisomerization of stilbene derivatives sensitized by riboflavin and lumichrome have been studied in aqueous solution. A triplet-triplet energy transfer is proposed as a mechanism for these reactions. The following observations support this mechanism.

On Energy Conservation and Transfer in Mitochondria
Journal of Bioenergetics, 1972Structural and functional features of energy conservation and transfer in mitochondria have been examined in the light of recent developments, and hypothetical schemes for energy coupling and transfer have been presented.

The transfer of energy from single chromium ions to closely coupled pairs of chromium ions in ruby has been investigated. Ruby samples whose concentrations ranged from 0.003 to 1.0% ${\mathrm{Cr}}_{2}$${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ were prepared and in each crystal the intensity of single-ion fluorescence and of pair fluorescence was accurately measured. Radiative-

The Journal of Chemical Physics
Energy transfer processes are ubiquitous in nature and intensely investigated. The investigations concentrate on the transfer of small to intermediate sized energies. Here, we pose the question of whether the transfer of large energies, where relativistic effects play a central role, can be efficient.

Acoustic Energy Transfer: A Review
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2013Acoustic energy transfer (AET) is a relatively new form of contactless energy transmission that uses sound waves to wirelessly convey energy. In contrast to inductive coupling, it is suited for energy transmission over distances that are large in comparison to the transmitter and receiver dimensions.

Energy transfer in polymers—V. Singlet and triplet energy transfer in polyacenaphthylene
European Polymer Journal, 1972Abstract The emission spectra of polyacenaphthylene (PAcN) and polyvinylnaphthalene (PVN) films and solutions have been compared at room temperature and 77°K. In organic glasses at 77°K, normal fluorescence and phosphorescence are observed for both polymers. Quenching of PAcN phosphorescence by piperylene in a glass obeys a Stem-Volmer type equation;
