Triplet Energy Transfer from Perovskite Nanocrystals Mediated by Electron Transfer.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2020Triplet energy transfer from colloidal nanocrystals is a novel approach to sensitizing molecular triplets that are important for many applications. Recent studies suggest that this triplet transfer can be mediated by a hole transfer process when it is ...

The Journal of Chemical Physics
Energy transfer processes are ubiquitous in nature and intensely investigated. The investigations concentrate on the transfer of small to intermediate sized energies. Here, we pose the question of whether the transfer of large energies, where relativistic effects play a central role, can be efficient.

Topological energy transfer in an optomechanical system with exceptional points
Nature, 2016Topological operations can achieve certain goals without requiring accurate control over local operational details; for example, they have been used to control geometric phases and have been proposed as a way of controlling the state of certain systems ...

Cooperative Chirality and Sequential Energy Transfer in a Supramolecular Light-Harvesting Nanotube.
Angewandte Chemie, 2018By constructing a supramolecular light-harvesting chiral nanotube in the aqueous phase, we demonstrate a cooperative energy and chirality transfer. It was found that a cyanostilbene-appended glutamate compound (CG) self-assembled into helical nanotubes ...

Donor-Acceptor Fluorophores for Energy-Transfer-Mediated Photocatalysis.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2018Triplet-triplet energy transfer (EnT) is a fundamental activation pathway in photocatalysis. In this work, we report the mechanistic origins of the triplet excited state of carbazole-cyanobenzene donor-acceptor (D-A) fluorophores in EnT-based ...

Energy transfer in aqueous solution
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biophysics including Photosynthesis, 1961Abstract The photodecomposition of the polyene fungicide pimaricin and the photoisomerization of stilbene derivatives sensitized by riboflavin and lumichrome have been studied in aqueous solution. A triplet-triplet energy transfer is proposed as a mechanism for these reactions. The following observations support this mechanism.

Energy transfer in photosynthesis
International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1976A theoretical model is presented to account for the physical mechanism of energy transfer from antenna molecules to the reaction centers in photosynthesis. The energy transfer is described by a generalized transport equation or "master equation". The solution of this equation for the proposed model gives a relationship between the antennae interaction ...
