Energy-efficient motion estimation using error-tolerance
Proceedings of the 2006 international symposium on Low power electronics and design - ISLPED '06, 2006Presented is an energy-efficient motion estimation architecture using error-tolerance. The technique employs overscaling of the supply voltage (voltage overscaling (VOS)) to reduce power at the expense of timing errors, which are then corrected using algorithmic noise-tolerance (ANT) techniques.

Estimating Efficiency of Energy Use
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1992<div class="htmlview paragraph">Environmental concerns have rekindled interest in energy conservation. The central question is efficiency, and calculation of efficiency requires a numerator: the absolute minimum primary fuel necessary to produce a given product or to provide a given service.
