The NADPH oxidase NOX4 regulates redox and metabolic homeostasis preventing HCC progression

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Loss of NOX4 in HCC tumor cells induces metabolic reprogramming in a Nrf2/MYC‐dependent manner to promote HCC progression. Abstract Background and Aims The NADPH oxidase NOX4 plays a tumor‐suppressor function in HCC. Silencing NOX4 confers higher proliferative and migratory capacity to HCC cells and increases their in vivo tumorigenic potential in ...

Reassessment of genotype 1 hepatitis c virus subtype misclassification by LiPA 2.0: implications for direct-acting antiviral treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The accuracy of LiPA 2.0 for hepatitis C virus 1 (HCV-1) subtype classification was analyzed. LiPA 2.0 genotype results from 101 HCV-1-infected patients were compared to genotype findings determined by direct core sequencing.

Immune‐Driven Expression in Inclusion Body Myositis With T‐Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives T‐cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (T‐LGLL), reported in up to 58% of inclusion body myositis (IBM) patients, is a rare leukemia of cytotoxic or less commonly helper T cells. The range of myopathies in T‐LGLL and the impact of coexisting T‐LGLL in IBM are not well understood. Our objectives are to investigate the spectrum of
