Introduction Klebsiella oxytoca causes antibiotic‐associated hemorrhagic colitis due to the production of the enterotoxins tilimycin and tilivalline. These toxins are synthesized by enzymes encoded in the aroX and NRPS operons, which are expressed divergently.
