Degree‐days may be an alternative for predicting the influence of temperature on physiological aspects of plants in a changing climate. The objective of this research was to evaluate the relation between cumulative degree‐days index (∑G) and the development, growth, and water consumption of irrigated bean under different soil tillage systems (STS).

Spatial Dependence of Physical Attributes and Mechanical Properties of Ultisol in a Sugarcane Field
This study investigates the effect of conventional tillage and application of the monoculture of sugar cane on soil health. Variables like density, moisture, texture, consistency limits, and preconsolidation stress were taken as indicators of soil quality.

Chemical Attributes of Soil Fertilized with Cassava Mill Wastewater and Cultivated with Sunflower
The use of waste arising from agroindustrial activities, such as cassava wastewater, has been steadily implemented in order to reduce environmental pollution and nutrient utilization. The aim of this study is that the changes in chemical properties of dystrophic red‐yellow latosol (oxisol) were evaluated at different sampling times after reuse of ...

The apparent soil electrical conductivity (ECa) was continuously recorded in three successive dates using electromagnetic induction in horizontal (ECa‐H) and vertical (ECa‐V) dipole modes at a 6 ha plot located in Northwestern Spain. One of the ECa data sets was used to devise an optimized sampling scheme consisting of 40 points.

Influence of Corn (Zea mays L.) Cultivar Development on Grain Nutrient Concentration
While corn productivity has been increased by the adoption of high‐yield hybrids, there are concerns that increased grain potential may be associated with diminished grain nutrient concentration. Ten corn (Zea mays L.) cultivars representing five technological levels (landrace variety, commercial variety, and double, triple, and single cross‐hybrids ...
