Output‐Feedback H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ Detector‐Based Control of Continuous‐Time Markov Jump Lur'e Systems With Sector‐Bound Optimization

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 12, Page 6304-6317, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the problem of dynamic output‐feedback H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ detector‐based control for continuous‐time Markov Jump Lur'e Systems with uncertain transition rate matrices. In contrast to conventional approaches, the proposed synthesis conditions are derived using Finsler's lemma, introducing additional slack variables to ...

A Selective‐Awakening MAC Protocol for Energy‐Efficient Data Forwarding in Linear Sensor Networks

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
We introduce the Selective-Awakening MAC (SA‐MAC) protocol which is a synchronized duty‐cycled protocol with pipelined scheduling for Linear Sensor Networks (LSNs). In the proposed protocol, nodes selectively awake depending on node density and traffic load conditions and on the state of the buffers of the receiving nodes.

Rare Caudal Regeneration Anomalies in Geckos Are Associated With Global Solar Radiation Gradients

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 53, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Morphological abnormalities may reduce fitness in wild animals, making them ecologically relevant for conservation efforts. Anomalies, such as a bifurcation or a trifurcation of a regenerated gecko tail, can change locomotion, social signalling, and predator evasion, with potential effects on survival and reproductive success.

Hybrid Vibration Control under Broadband Excitation and Variable Temperature Using Viscoelastic Neutralizer and Adaptive Feedforward Approach

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
Vibratory phenomena have always surrounded human life. The need for more knowledge and domain of such phenomena increases more and more, especially in the modern society where the human‐machine integration becomes closer day after day. In that context, this work deals with the development and practical implementation of a hybrid (passive‐active ...

Controlling Devices Using Biological Signals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2011
Knowing that the driving task of a conventional wheelchair could be difficult or even impossible for impairment people, this work presents an overview of some strategies developed to aid these people. Within this context, a myoelectrical eye-blink and an

Investigation of the Optical and Morphological Properties of PS/POMA Blends Hybridized With Erbium Oxide (Er2O3)

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 16, April 20, 2026.
ABSTRACT Polymeric blends (PB) represent a rapid and cost‐effective strategy for the development of materials with tailored properties. In this study, blends of polystyrene (PS) and poly(o‐methoxyaniline) (POMA) containing 7.5 wt/wt% of POMA were prepared and hybridized with erbium oxide (Er2O3) at concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, and 3.0 wt/wt%.

MPPT Technique Based on Current and Temperature Measurements

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
This paper presents a new maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method based on the measurement of temperature and short‐circuit current, in a simple and efficient approach. These measurements, which can precisely define the maximum power point (MPP), have not been used together in other existing techniques.
