From Physics to Engineering Physics
2015I was born in 1933 in Chahal Kalan—a small village near Gujranwala in Pakistan. I used to walk about 4 km to my high school and read in the light of an oil lamp. My favorite sports were kabadi, wrestling, and playing free-for—hockey on a dirt road. I learned to swim in the village pond.

A physics engine is a program that provides an approximate simulation of a game world by creating a mathematical model for all the object interactions and collisions within the game. It accounts for gravity, elasticity, friction, and conservation of momentum between colliding objects so that the objects move in a believable way.

Physics Today, 1955THE major points in the article by E. L. Woodside (“Physics Curriculum for Engineers”, Physics Today, November 1954, p. 4) are well made. First, given the premise that a fundamental knowledge of physical laws is desirable for engineering students, specialists do tend to emphasize the importance of their subject matter domain.
