Mechanism Reduction and Bunsen Burner Flame Verification of Methane

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Based on directed relation graph with error propagation methods, 39 species and 231 reactions skeletal mechanism were obtained from Mech_56.54 (113 species and 710 reactions) mechanism of methane. The ignition delay times, laminar flame propagation speed,

Determination of the thermophysical properties of evolutive porous media: application to Civil Engineering materials [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal Applied Physics, 2005
The purpose of this paper is to describe the development and the use of two measurement techniques especially adapted to the rapid determination of the thermophysical properties of evolutive porous media. The first technique exploits the method of the “heated and non-heated wires” and is validated on wet clay by comparison with previous works [Mounanga

BACH, a Bayesian Optimization Protocol for Accurate Coarse‐Grained Parameterization of Organic Liquids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a fully automated Bayesian optimization (BO) protocol for the parameterization of nonbonded interactions in coarse‐grain CG force fields (BACH). Using experimental thermophysical data, we apply the protocol to a broad range of liquids, spanning linear, branched, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esters, triglycerides, and water.

REGULATION OF STRUCTURAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SHIITAKE MUSHROOM SUSPENSION AS AN OBJECT OF DRYING

open access: yesHarčova Nauka ì Tehnologìâ, 2021
The article considers whether a shiitake basidiomycete can be processed into powder. This mushroom is a source of valuable nutrients: it contains, on a dry basis, 18.76% of protein, 74.5% of carbohydrates, 1% of lipids, and 5.73% of ash.

Simultaneous Measurement of Thermal Expansion and Thermo‐Optic Effect in Solids Using Terahertz Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal expansion and the thermo‐optic effect in solids are closely coupled, reflecting concurrent changes in mass density and polarizability. Using echo‐resolved THz spectroscopy, we simultaneously determine sub‐micrometer thermal expansion and complex refractive index changes of MgO and Al2O3 from 10–325 K. The analysis yields both the coefficient of

Multi‐Scale Structural Effects of External Electrical Fields of Melt Tracks in Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser material processing is a promising technique for fabricating metal structures. Here, external electric field (EFs) assisted laser processing of metallic powders are investigated. EFs affect the melt tracks through changes in their stability and influence the grain structure in conjunction with laser intensity distribution methods. The EF‐assisted
