EOR Processes, Opportunities and Technological Advancements [PDF]
Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) processes are well known for their efficiency in incrementing oil production; however, the selection of the most suitable method to adopt for specific field applications is challenging. Hence, this chapter presents an overview

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery [PDF]
Nowadays the majority of the world's energy comes from crude oil. A large proportion of this valuable and non-renewable resource is left behind in the ground after the application of conventional oil extraction methods. Moreover, there is a dire need to produce more crude oil to meet the worldwide rising energy demand which illustrates the necessity of

We present a fully automated Bayesian optimization (BO) protocol for the parameterization of nonbonded interactions in coarse‐grain CG force fields (BACH). Using experimental thermophysical data, we apply the protocol to a broad range of liquids, spanning linear, branched, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esters, triglycerides, and water.

Effectively optimizing production of horizontal wells in homogeneous oil reservoirs [PDF]
Horizontal well applications have been predominant since their conception, for reasons such as effective depletion of oil reservoirs and especially in water cresting, gas cresting or water and gas cresting applications due to the casings enhanced ...
