Enhancement-Mode$hboxSi_3hboxN_4hbox/AlGaN/GaN$MISHFETs

IEEE Electron Device Letters, 2006
Enhancement-mode Si3N4/AlGaN/GaN metal-insulator-semiconductor HFETs (MISHFETs) with a 1-mum gate footprint are demonstrated by combining CF4 plasma treatment technique and a two-step Si3N4 deposition process. The threshold voltage has been shifted from -4 [for depletion-mode HFET] to 2 V using the techniques.

Fluorine-Implanted Enhancement-Mode Transistors

2016
GaN-based heterojunction devices, in the form of high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) and metal–insulator–semiconductor HEMTs (MIS-HEMTs), are capable of delivering superior performance in high-frequency power amplifiers and high-voltage power switches.

Polymer-enhanced bend-mode nematic displays

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
We describe a detailed study of the bend nematic structure stabilized by the polymer network. The formation of phase-separated polymer network in a bend nematic structure is affected by various factors, such as the polymer network morphology, polymer concentration, applied electric field, UV exposure time, and UV intensity.

Enhancement mode gallium nitride transistor reliability

2015 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2015
The industry's understanding of the reliability of GaN transistors has continued to grow with positive results. In addition to the publication of several reliability reports [1–7] showing excellent performance across a wide set of operating conditions, in this paper we develop a more general understanding of commercially available enhancement mode ...

Empirical Mode Decomposition for Speech Enhancement

2018 International Conference on Electrical Sciences and Technologies in Maghreb (CISTEM), 2018
In this paper, we restrict in the use of the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) on the speech enhancement methods, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is based on an adaptive decomposition of the signal into oscillating components. A comparative study between the most recent EMD-based enhancement methods was performed. Experimental results show that

Enhanced error concealment with mode selection

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2006
Delay sensitive video transmission over error prone networks can suffer from packet erasures when channel conditions are not favorable. Use of error concealment (EC) at the video decoder is necessary in such cases to prevent error induced artefacts making the affected video frames visibly intolerable.

Polarization-enhanced conductivity in enhancement-mode GaN p-FET

Applied Physics Letters
The E-mode GaN p-FET exhibits low current density and high on-resistance, which hinders the development of GaN complementary logic circuits. This work exploits the polarization effect to enhance the p-type conductivity in the p-GaN layer: two AlN layers are inserted in the p-GaN layer, and the polarization field separates EA and EF of the p-GaN layer ...

An enhanced current-mode instrumentation amplifier

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2001
An enhanced current-mode instrumentation amplifier is presented. The circuit is based on a current conveyor-operational amplifier combined configuration that offers significant improvement in accuracy as compared with the basic current-mode instrumentation amplifier based on current conveyors only.

BlueJ interactive mode enhancement

2014
An indispensable tool of any meaningful application development endeavour is an inte-grated development environment (IDE), and the same naturally applies for coding in Java programming language. There are many IDEs that are readily available to be used, though not all of them are well suited for elementary programming courses.
