Man-made shallow fishponds in the Czech Republic have been facing high eutrophication since the 1950s. Anthropogenic eutrophication and feeding of fish have strongly affected the physicochemical properties of water and its aquatic community composition ...

Abstract South Sister volcano, Oregon Cascade Range, USA, has repeatedly erupted rhyolite since ca. 40 ka. The youngest such eruptions are the ca. 2 ka Rock Mesa and Devils Chain rhyolites, erupted several hundred years apart from two multi‐vent complexes separated by 3–6 km. Fe‐Mg interdiffusion models of orthopyroxene rims from both rhyolites produce

ABSTRACT How barriers to gene flow arise between closely related species is one of the oldest questions in evolutionary biology. Classic models in evolutionary biology predict that negative epistatic interactions between variants in the genomes of diverged lineages, known as hybrid incompatibilities, will reduce viability or fertility in hybrids.

The first redox‐complementary dual‐ligand hexagonal 2D metal‐organic framework (CDL‐MOF1) was constructed via heteroleptic coordination of a π‐donor hexahydroxytriphenylene ligand and a π‐acceptor hexahydroxytricycloquinazoline ligand with Cu(II) nodes.

How do we accurately measure mind wandering? This review compares five methods: from self‐reports (prone to bias) to brain scans (precise but expensive). No single method captures all aspects, so we propose the MAMW framework—a unified approach combining strengths of each technique.

Earth System Model Tuning Without Hyperparameters
Abstract This article introduces a new algorithm, KalmRidge, and demonstrates its ability to tune an Earth system model using idealized experiments. Unlike similar algorithms, KalmRidge eliminates the need for offline hyperparameter selection, thereby substantially reducing computational expense.

Even cooler insights: On the power of forests to (water the Earth and) cool the planet
We assess the cooling power of forest cover at both the local and global scales. Our differentiated approach based on the use of multiple diagnostic metrics suggests that surface albedo effects are typically overemphasized at the expense of top‐of‐cloud reflectivity.

Mitigating Masked Pixels in a Climate-Critical Ocean Dataset
Clouds and other data artefacts frequently limit the retrieval of key variables from remotely sensed Earth observations. We train a natural language processing (NLP)-inspired algorithm with high-fidelity ocean simulations to accurately reconstruct masked

‘Od zemlje, zemljan’. Konstitucija čovjeka u Post 1–2 u svjetlu sumersko-babilonskih tradicija
Studija istražuje konstituciju čovjeka u Post 1–2, proučavajući važnije tekstove o stvaranju čovjeka u Mezopotamiji i biblijske izvještaje u Post 1–2. Pregled tekstova iz Mezopotamije pokazuje da sve ondje prisutne tradicije naglašavaju božanske elemente
