Feedback enhanced entanglement in a spin-1/2 XY dimer model permeated by a transverse magnetic field

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
This paper studies the ability of feedback control to reduce the effect of decoherence and enhance entanglement in an interacting spin-1/2 XY dimer model in the presence of a transverse magnetic field.

Exercise Interventions in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults With Paediatric Bone Tumours—A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bone tumours present significant challenges for affected patients, as multimodal therapy often leads to prolonged physical limitations. This is particularly critical during childhood and adolescence, as it can negatively impact physiological development and psychosocial resilience.

Two-photon entanglement in multi-qubit bi-directional waveguide QED

open access: yes, 2016
We study entanglement generation and control in bi-directional waveguide QED driven by a two photon Gaussian wavepacket. In particular, we focus on how increasing the number of qubits affects the overall average pairwise entanglement in the system.

Coherent control of multipartite entanglement

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2015
Quantum entanglement between an arbitrary number of remote qubits is examined analytically. We show that there is a non-probabilistic way to address in one context the management of entanglement of an arbitrary number of mixed-state qubits by engaging quantitative measures of entanglement and a specific external control mechanism.

Quantum Control and Entanglement in a Chemical Compass [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2010
The radical pair mechanism is one of the two main hypotheses to explain the navigability of animals in weak magnetic fields, enabling e.g. birds to see the Earth's magnetic field. It also plays an essential role in the field of spin chemistry. Here, we show how quantum control can be used to either enhance or reduce the performance of such a chemical ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Entanglement enhances cooling in microscopic quantum fridges

open access: yes, 2014
Small self-contained quantum thermal machines function without external source of work or control, but using only incoherent interactions with thermal baths. Here we investigate the role of entanglement in a small self-contained quantum refrigerator.

Universal feedback control of two-qubit entanglement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider two-qubit undergoing local dissipation and subject to local driving. We then determine the optimal Markovian feedback action to preserve initial entanglement as well as to create stationary entanglement with the help of an XY interaction ...

Dynamics of entanglement of two dipole-coupled Josephson qubits interacting with two lossless resonators

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2016
In the present paper we investigated the dynamics of two dipole-coupled superconducting qubits prepared in an entangled state and interacting with two modes of the vacuum electromagnetic fields of two independent resonators.

Influence of Stark Shift on Entanglement of Two Qubits in the Two-Photon Tavis-Cummings Model

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
Considering two-atom degenerate two-photon Tavis-Cummings model, we investigate the entanglement between two atoms prepared initially in the coherent disentangled states and cavity field prepared in few-photon Fock state, and study the effect of the ...
