Bycatch, commonly referred to as entanglement, is a leading source of human-caused mortality of baleen whales. A better understanding of the individuals that survive (or perish from) their entanglement can help reduce the risk of bycatch by informing ...

PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Maximising optomechanical entanglement with optimal control
In this article, we formulate the generation of optomechanical entanglement between the linearly coupled cavity field and the mechanical resonator as an optimal control problem in hyperbolic space $H^3$, with control input the coupling rate of the two oscillators.

Arbitrary Control of Entanglement between two Superconducting Resonators [PDF]
We present a method to synthesize an arbitrary quantum state of two superconducting resonators. This state-synthesis algorithm utilizes a coherent interaction of each resonator with a tunable artificial atom to create entangled quantum superpositions of photon number (Fock) states in the resonators.

Dynamic of entangled pair of Rydberg atoms successively passing a thermal cavity
In the present paper we invetigated the entanglement dynamics of two Rydberg atoms which are prepared in Bells type entngled state and succesively passing one-mode thermal cavity of one-atom maser.

Entanglement engineering of optomechanical systems by reinforcement learning
Entanglement is fundamental to quantum information science and technology, yet controlling and manipulating entanglement—so-called entanglement engineering—for arbitrary quantum systems remains a formidable challenge.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Deterministic entanglement of photons in two superconducting microwave resonators
Quantum entanglement, one of the defining features of quantum mechanics, has been demonstrated in a variety of nonlinear spin-like systems. Quantum entanglement in linear systems has proven significantly more challenging, as the intrinsic energy level ...

Distributed correlations and information flows within a hybrid multipartite quantum-classical system [PDF]
Understanding the non-Markovian mechanisms underlying the revivals of quantum entanglement in the presence of classical environments is central in the theory of quantum information.

Local Control of Entanglement in a Spin Chain [PDF]
In a ferromagnetic spin chain, the control of the local effective magnetic field allows to manipulate the static and dynamical properties of entanglement. In particular, the propagation of quantum correlations can be driven to a great extent so as to achieve an entanglement transfer on demand toward a selected site.
