Entanglement Structure in Expanding Universes

open access: yesEntropy, 2013
We investigate entanglement of a quantum field in de Sitter spacetime using a particle detector model. By considering the entanglement between two comoving detectors interacting with a scalar field, it is possible to detect the entanglement of the scalar

One Field, Many Fictions? A Clarifying Taxonomy of Sustainability‐Oriented Business Model Concepts

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability‐Oriented Business Models (SOBMs) represent promising solutions to sustainability challenges, but their potential is constrained by a fragmented conceptual landscape with inconsistently defined and utilized key constructs. This fragmentation limits the SOBM field's cumulative development and practitioners' ability to select and ...

Mechanistic deconvolution of BSA size variants by constrained Raman pseudo‐Voigt hard modeling during anion‐exchange chromatography

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Abstract In biopharmaceutical manufacturing, protein aggregation is a critical quality attribute, necessitating rapid and reliable analytical strategies during downstream processes like anion‐exchange chromatography (AEX). While Raman spectroscopy enables continuous monitoring of protein secondary structure, standard data‐driven regression models ...

Entanglement Swapping between Discrete and Continuous Variables [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
We experimentally realize "hybrid" entanglement swapping between discrete-variable (DV) and continuous-variable (CV) optical systems. DV two-mode entanglement as obtainable from a single photon split at a beam splitter is robustly transferred by means of efficient CV entanglement and operations, using sources of squeezed light and homodyne detections ...

Local approach to quantum entanglement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Quantum entanglement is the key property that makes quantum information theory different from its classical counterpart and is also a valuable physical resource with massive potential for technological applications.

Recent advances in multifunctional soft robots: A materials–structures–systems co‐design perspective for synergistic integration

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Abstract Soft robots, engineered from highly compliant materials, offer superior adaptability and safety in unstructured environments compared to their rigid counterparts. Recent advancements, fueled by bio‐inspiration and material programmability, have led to the rapid co‐evolution of their core modules: actuation, sensing, protection, energy, and ...

Conditional teleportation of quantum-dot spin states

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Despite recent demonstrations of coherent spin-state transfer in arrays of spin qubits via exchange interaction, all-matter spin-state teleportation is still out of reach.

The quantum world is not built up from correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
It is known that the global state of a composite quantum system can be completely determined by specifying correlations between measurements performed on subsystems only.

Loss-resilient photonic entanglement swapping using optical hybrid states [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We propose a scheme of loss-resilient entanglement swapping between two distant parties via an imperfect optical channel. In this scheme, two copies of hybrid entangled states are prepared and the continuous-variable parts propagate through lossy media ...

The Role of Variance Risk Premium in Derivative Pricing: Modeling, Estimation and Impact

open access: yesJournal of Futures Markets, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper estimates a model where variance risk premiums (VRP) is not fully explained by equity risk premiums (ERP). This separation can be detected thanks to a new breed of GARCH models with enough innovations to disconnect returns from variances. This type of risk‐neutralization is compatible with continuous‐time settings.
