Quantum magnetomechanics: towards the ultra-strong coupling regime [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 97, 024109 (2018), 2017
In this paper we investigate a hybrid quantum system comprising a mechanical oscillator coupled via magnetic induced electromotive force to an $LC$ resonator. We derive the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian for this system and find that the interaction can be described by a charge-momentum coupling with a strength that has a strong geometric dependence.

Rabeprazole sodium delayed-release multiparticulates: Effect of enteric coating layers on product performance

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research, 2011
Rabeprazole sodium is one of the most effective proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) used in antiulcer therapy. Like most other PPIs, owing to its acid-labile nature, the drug is formulated as enteric-coated dosage form.

Wear-resistant thin films of MRI-230D-Mg alloy using plasma-driven electrolytic oxidation [PDF]

open access: yesWear 271, 1987 (2011), 2017
Wear resistant coatings were produced on a permanent mould cast MRI 230D Mg alloy by (a) PEO in silicate based electrolyte, (b) PEO in phosphate based electrolyte, (c) hybrid coatings of silicate PEO followed by laser surface alloying (LSA) with Al and Al2O3, and (d) hybrid coatings of phosphate PEO followed by LSA with Al and Al2O3.

Air Entrainment in Dynamic Wetting: Knudsen Effects and the Influence of Ambient Air Pressure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Recent experiments on coating flows and liquid drop impact both demonstrate that wetting failures caused by air entrainment can be suppressed by reducing the ambient gas pressure. Here, it is shown that non-equilibrium effects in the gas can account for this behaviour, with ambient pressure reductions increasing the gas' mean free path and hence the ...

Active individual nanoresonators optimized for lasing and spasing operation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Plasmonic nanoresonators consisting of a gold nanorod and a spherical silica-core and gold-shell, both coated by a gain layer, were optimized to maximize the near-field enhancement (NF-type) and far-field outcoupling (FF-type), and to enter into the spasing operation region (NF-c*-type).

Enteric-coated insulin microparticles delivered by lipopeptides of iturin and surfactin

open access: yesDrug Delivery, 2018
Surfactin, a lipopeptide produced by Bacillus species, has been used for the oral delivery of insulin. In this study, another lipopeptide of iturin was tested for its ability to orally delivery insulin alone or plus surfactin.

MnO2-gated Nanoplatforms with Targeted Controlled Drug Release and Contrast-Enhanced MRI Properties: from 2D Cell Culture to 3D Biomimetic Hydrogels [PDF]

open access: yesNanotheranostics, 2018, 2 (4), pp.403-416, 2019
Multifunctional nanomaterials combining diagnosis and therapeutic properties have attracted a considerable attention in cancer research. Yet some important challenges are still to be faced, including an optimal coupling between these two types of properties that would be effective within complex biological tissues.
