Identification of compounds from chufa (Eleocharis dulcis) peels by widely targeted metabolomics

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 545-554, January 2023., 2023
The big Chinese water chestnut (BCWC) and small Chinese water chestnut (SCWC) peels using ultraperformance liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (UPLC/MS)‐based metabolomics analysis. A total of 321 significant metabolites, including 90 flavonoids, 25 phenylpropanoids, and 33 organic acids and derivatives, were identified/annotated from BCWC and SCWC.

The mycotoxin deoxynivalenol predisposes for the development of Clostridium perfringens-induced necrotic enteritis in broiler chickens [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Both mycotoxin contamination of feed and Clostridium perfringens-induced necrotic enteritis have an increasing global economic impact on poultry production. Especially the Fusarium mycotoxin deoxynivalenol (DON) is a common feed contaminant.

Dynamics of Intestinal Inflammatory Cytokines and Tight Junction Proteins of Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus L.) During the Development and Recovery of Enteritis Induced by Dietary β-Conglycinin

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2020
This study was conducted to investigate the dynamic characterization of enteritis of juvenile turbot (Scophthalmus maximus L.) during the development of enteritis induced by dietary β-conglycinin (7S) and the recovery by fish meal (FM).

PRR-Mediated Immune Response and Intestinal Flora Profile in Soybean Meal-Induced Enteritis of Pearl Gentian Groupers, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀ × Epinephelus lanceolatus♂

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) can recognize microbial-specific pathogen-associated molecular patterns, initiate signal cascade transduction, activate the expressions of host immunity and proinflammatory genes, and, ultimately, trigger an immune ...

Effects of glepaglutide, a long‐acting glucagon‐like peptide‐2 analog, on intestinal morphology and perfusion in patients with short bowel syndrome: Findings from a randomized phase 2 trial

open access: yesJournal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, Volume 47, Issue 1, Page 140-150, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background The proadaptive effects of glucagon‐like peptide‐2 (GLP‐2) include stimulation of intestinal mucosal growth as well as intestinal blood flow and angiogenesis. We have recently reported that daily subcutaneous injections of glepaglutide, a long‐acting GLP‐2 analog, improved intestinal absorptive function in patients with short bowel ...
