A severe case of enterobiasis was diagnosed in a chimpanzee. The primary lesions were an ulcerative enteritis and mesenteric lymphadenitis. Portions of nematodes identified as Enterobius sp. occurred in both locations. Few reports of this condition in chimpanzees were found in the literature.
