Enterolacaciamine as a potential O-GlcNAcase activator from the leaves of Enterolobium cyclocarpum

Enterolacaciamine (1), a new potential O-GlcNAcase activator, along with three known triterpenoid saponins, concinnoside B (2), concinnoside D (3), and julibroside A3 (4) was isolated from the leaves of Enterolobium cyclocarpum. Their structures were elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods (UV, MS, 1D and 2D NMR).

Isolation and characterization of microsatellite loci in the Guanacaste tree, Enterolobium cyclocarpum

AbstractWe isolated nine microsatellite loci from the Guanacaste tree (Enterolobium cyclocarpum) and optimized them for future research on breeding populations of this species. Loci were screened across 53 individuals from one population and were shown to be variable with the number of alleles per locus ranging from five to 15.

Chemical and 13C NMR studies of Enterolobium cyclocarpum gum and its degradation products

A structural study of the gum exudate from Enterolobium cyclocarpum has been carried out using chemical methods and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The results reveal that the structure of this gum is essentially a beta-(1-->3)-galactan. Some galactoses are 6-O-linked and others also occur as terminal residues.

Variation in the breeding behavior of the dry forest tree Enterolobium cyclocarpum (guanacaste) in Costa Rica

We studied the breeding systems of four populations of Enterolobium cyclocarpum (guanacaste, earpod tree) in Costa Rica. Multilocus estimates of the outcrossing rate indicate that E. cyclocarpum is a predominant outcrossing species (tm ranged between 0.881 and 0.901) and biparental inbreeding is low (range between 0.058 and 0.079).

Effects Of Cutting Interval On The Feed Value Of Enterolobium Cyclocarpum

The effects of cutting interval on the rumen DM degradation and CP and NDF contents of Enterolobium cyclocarpum leaves was determined. The trees were cut every 6, 9 and 12 weeks at 50 cm above ground level. Leaf samples taken at the ends of the major and minor wet seasons were incubated for 3, 6, 12, 24, 72 and 96 hours in rumen-fistulated goats.
