Ectopic gastrointestinal epithelium can be present, and management involves surgical resection. A three‐month‐old girl presented with rectal bleeding due to an ileocolic intussusception.

This study presents the annual report of the gastroenterological surgery of the National Clinical Database (NCD) in 2021. In total, 5 788 093 cases, including 597 780 cases in 2021, were extracted from the NCD. The patient population continues to age, and the proportion of female patients is steadily increasing.
