Enthalpy of Fusion of Nematogens

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 1977
Abstract The enthalpy of fusion of nematic compounds is an important parameter related to the use of such materials in displays. Since no single material is adequate in nematic range for use in displays, a substantial amount of work is required in preparation and evaluation of mixtures.

The enthalpy of fusion of anorthite

Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, 1980
The high-temperature enthalpies of liquid and glassy CaAl2Si2O8 were measured by drop calorimetry using a diphenyl ether drop calorimeter. These data are combined with published values of the high-temperature enthalpy of crystalline anorthite and the enthalpy of vitrification of anorthite to obtain the enthalpy of fusion of anorthite.

Determination of enthalpy of fusion of K3FSO4

Thermochimica Acta, 1992
Abstract The enthalpy of melting of K3FSO4 at 1148 K has been determined using a hightemperature calorimeter, the Setaram HTC 1800 K. ΔfusHm(K3FSO4 is found to equal 86 ± 3 kJ mol−1. The given error is calculated at the level of reliability (1 - α) = 0.95.

Determination of the enthalpy of fusion of Na3FSO4

Thermochimica Acta, 1991
The areas of the fusion and crystallization peaks of Na3FeF6 and of four calibration substances (KCl, NaCl, Na2SO4, and K2SO4) were measured using the DSC mode of a high-temperature calorimeter. Using the measured quantities and known values of the enthalpy of fusion of the calibration substances, the enthalpy of fusion of Na3FeF6 was determined.

Enthalpies of solution, enthalpies of fusion and enthalpies of solvation of polyaromatic hydrocarbons: Instruments for determination of sublimation enthalpy at 298.15K

Thermochimica Acta, 2015
Abstract In this work a simple method for calculation of solvation enthalpies of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in various solvents at 298.15 K was proposed. According to this method the enthalpy of solvation of any polyaromatic hydrocarbon in a particular solvent can be calculated on the basis of the general formula of the compound, the solvation ...

Determination of vapor pressures, enthalpies of sublimation, and enthalpies of fusion of benzenetriols

Thermochimica Acta, 2004
Molar enthalpies of sublimation of 1,2,4-, 1,2,3-, and 1,3,5-tri-hydroxy-benzene, were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure measured by the transpiration method. The molar enthalpies of fusion and molar heat capacities of these compounds were measured by DSC.

Enthalpy of fusion and temperature of fusion of indium, and redetermination of the enthalpy of fusion of tin

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1993
Abstract The molar enthalpy and temperature of fusion of a very pure sample of indium have been determined by adiabatic-shield calorimetry for the Laboratory of the Government Chemist, U.K. with the result: Δ fus H m = (3296±9) J·mol -1 . Fractional-enthalpy-of-fusion determinations over the region (13.4 to 88.0) per cent molten indium are ...

Fusion enthalpy and entropy of syndiotactic polystyrene

Polymer, 1990
Abstract The fusion enthalpy and entropy of a highly syndiotactic polystyrene sample were determined by melting point depression in the presence of diluents. Three solvents were used to ascertain the presence, if any, of polymorphic modifications: dioctyl phthalate, diphenylsulphone and diphenyldiketone (benzil).
