Vapour pressures and enthalpies of vaporisation of N‑alkyl acetamides
Journal of Molecular Liquids, 2019© 2019 Elsevier B.V. Molar enthalpies of vaporisation/sublimation of n-alkyl acetamides: N‑methyl‑acetamide, N‑ethyl‑acetamide, N‑n‑propyl‑acetamide, and N‑tert‑butyl‑acetamide were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapour pressures measured using the transpiration method.

A general strategy to determine enthalpies of formation of protic ionic liquids, based solely on enthalpy of solution measurements, was conceived and tested for 1-methylimidazolium ethanoate, leading to Δ(f)H°(m){[Hmim][O(2)CCH(3)], 1} = -(425.7 ± 1.2) kJ mol(-1).

Vapour pressures and enthalpies of vaporisation of N,N-di-alkyl-acetamides
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2019© 2019 Elsevier B.V. Molar enthalpies of vaporisation of N,N-di-alkyl-acetamides (alkyl = methyl, ethyl, n-butyl, and n-hexyl) were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure measured using the transpiration method. A large number of primary experimental results on temperature dependencies of vapour pressures have been collected ...

The vapour pressure is the most important property of an anthropogenic organic compound in determining its partitioning between the atmosphere and the other environmental media. The enthalpy of vaporisation quantifies the temperature dependence of the vapour pressure and its value around 298 K is needed for environmental modelling.

The enthalpies of vaporisation of ionic liquids: new measurements and predictions
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2012The enthalpies of vaporisation, Δ(vap)H(298), of seven ionic liquids (ILs) (four imidazoliums, a pyridinium, a phosphonium and an isouronium) have been determined by temperature programmed desorption using line of sight mass spectrometry. They were: 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(pentafluoroethyl)phosphinate, [C(2)C(1)Im][PO(2)(C(2)F(5))(2)]; 1-butyl ...

Abstract Amino acid ionic liquids (ILs) 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium alanine [Cnmim][Ala] (n = 5,6) were prepared and characterized. The enthalpy of vaporisation at the average temperature, Δ 1 g H m o (Tav), for the two ILs were determined by means of isothermogravimetrical analysis, and in terms of Δ 1 g C p , m o
