Temperature dependence of yields of secondary organic aerosols from the ozonolysis of α-pinene and limonene [PDF]
Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation has been investigated as a function of temperature and humidity for the ozone-initiated reaction of the two monoterpenes α-pinene (243–313 K) and limonene (253–313 K) using the 84.5 m3 aerosol chamber AIDA.

This article investigates the dependence of the properties on the manufacturing orientation in the form of the inclination angle to the build plate of LPBF‐fabricated NiTi rods with a diameter of 150–220 µm. Metallographic, chemical, thermal, and mechanical characterization show behavior under identical manufacturing conditions that ranges from ...

Investigating the Low‐Temperature Phase Stability of the Binary Ta–W System
Atomistic simulations show that the binary Ta–W system forms ordered intermetallic phases, B2‐TaW and D03‐TaW3, as 0 K ground states. Configurational entropy, however, lowers the free energy of the disordered bcc solid solution, which becomes the stable phase above about 400 K.

Vaporisation and thermal decomposition of dialkylimidazolium halide ion ionic liquids
Vaporisation and liquid phase thermal decomposition, TD, of two halide ion ionic liquids, 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride, [C8C1Im]Cl, and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium iodide, [C8C1Im]I, are investigated using temperature programmed desorption (TPD ...

Encapsulation of solid–liquid barocalorics (BC) within MOFs harnesses their colossal BC performance whilst allowing active control of BC properties through BC‐MOF interactions. ABSTRACT Barocaloric (BC) effects at liquid–vapor transitions in hydrofluorocarbons drive most commercial technologies used for heating and cooling in the heating, ventilation ...

A Departure Function-Based Method to Determine the Effect of the Oil Circulation Ratio on the Performance of Vapor Compression Refrigeration Systems [PDF]
A method to estimate the performance of single-stage vapor compression refrigeration systems as a function of the oil circulation ratio is presented. The model is based on the Peng-Robinson equation of state and on the theory of departure functions to ...

Acetoacetates Derived From Vegetable Oils: A Platform for Tailor‐Made Vinylogous Urethane Foams
A renewable vegetable oil is converted into acetoacetate‐functionalized precursors for the preparation of catalyst‐free vinylogous urethane foams. Room‐temperature foaming with n‐pentane generates lightweight cellular materials, while the choice of amine enables control over foam structure and mechanical properties.
