Entire Solutions to a Lattice Fisher-KPP System
Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - B, 2023The authors study the following lattice system of Fisher-KPP type (with Dirichlet boundary condition at \(n=0\)): \[ u'_n(t)=u_{n+1}(t)-2u_n(t)+u_{n-1}(t)+f(u_n(t)), \quad n\in \mathbb{Z}. \] They first establish the existence of a unique positive stationary solution \(\{u_n\}\) and show its stability. Then they construct two types of entire solutions,

Entire Solutions of Discrete Elliptic Equations
Southeast Asian Bulletin of Mathematics, 2003By means of monotone methods, comparison theorems for the existence and uniqueness of solutions of discrete elliptic type partial difference equations are derived. The results permit to find positive and bounded solutions to several specific equations.

Entire solutions of differential equations with finite order transcendental entire coefficients
Acta Mathematica Sinica, 1997The authors consider the nonhomogeneous linear differential equation \(f^{(k)}+ A_{k-1}f^{(k-1)}+\cdots +A_0f=F\). Here, they use Nevanlinna's value distribution theory to investigate the complex oscillation of this system when the coefficients and the nonhomogeneous function \(F\) are transcendental entire functions of finite order, such that there ...

Can Online Surveys Represent the Entire Population?
Social Science Research Network, 2018A general concern with the representativeness of online surveys is that they exclude the "offline" population that does not use the internet. We run a large-scale opinion survey with (1) onliners in web mode, (2) offliners in face-to-face mode, and (3 ...

ENTIRE SOLUTIONS OF A CURVATURE FLOW IN AN UNDULATING CYLINDER
Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2018We consider a curvature flow $V=\unicode[STIX]{x1D705}+A$ in a two-dimensional undulating cylinder $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FA}$ described by $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FA}:=\{(x,y)\in \mathbb{R}^{2}\mid -g_{1}(y)<x<g_{2}(y),y\in \mathbb{R}\}$, where $V$ is the normal velocity of a moving curve contacting the boundaries of $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FA ...

Existence and phase separation of entire solutions to a pure critical competitive elliptic system
, 2017We establish the existence of a positive fully nontrivial solution (u, v) to the weakly coupled elliptic system $$\begin{aligned} {\left\{ \begin{array}{ll} -\,\Delta u=\mu _{1}|u|^{{2}^{*}-2}u+\lambda \alpha |u|^{\alpha -2}|v|^{\beta }u,\\ -\,\Delta v ...
