Dispersive Erosion and Entisol‐Panspot Genesis in Sodium‐Affected Landscapes

Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1991
Abstract In Natriboroll complexes, commonly barren, eroded Entisol or remnant Natriboroll areas occur that are devoid of vegetation. This study investigates the genesis, stratigraphy, and characteristics of panspots.

INVESTIGATION ON STRUCTURAL INDICES OF ALFISOL AND ENTISOL SOILS

Madras Agricultural Journal, 1988
Structural indices of Alfisol (Red) and Entisol (Alluvial) soil profiles studied are re- ported in this paper. The stability index, aggregate stability, structural coefficient and aggregation index are considered to be reliable structural indices and accordingly the structure of Red and Alluvial soils could be considered as moderately developed. It was

Inorganic phosphorus forms in some entisols and aridisols of Egypt

Geoderma, 2007
Effective soil phosphorus (P) management from both environmental and agronomic point of view requires the knowledge of P forms determining its availability. This studyexaminedtheinorganicPformsofrepresentativeEgyptiansoilsandinvestigatedtheir relationshiptoother soilproperties.Intwentytwo samples of Entisols and Aridisols collected from different ...

Phosphorus Availability in Entisols, Inceptisols, and Mollisols of Iraqi Kurdistan

Soil Science, 2019
In this work, we investigated phosphorus (P) availability of three soil orders (Entisols, Inceptisols, and Mollisols) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Addition of P fertilizers causes chemical and physical fixation of P due to the high amounts of calcium carbonate often present in the soils of this region.

Exploring Soil Salinity Management in Entisols Using Trickle Irrigation System

2012
Entisols are common soils in the arid regions and have the potential for irrigated agriculture. However, when these soils are irrigated with brackish/saline water and the irrigation is poorly managed, the soils become saline. Maintaining desired saltwater balance in the potential root zone area is the key factor for growing agricultural, forestry, and ...

Determination of Soil Loss Tolerance of an Entisol in Southwest China

Soil Science Society of America Journal, 2009
Soil loss tolerance ( T value) serves as an ultimate criterion for determining if erosion control measures are necessary to preserve long‐term soil productivity; therefore, it must be determined scientifically and rationally.

Magnetic susceptibility of Entisols and Aridisols great groups in southeastern Iran

Geoderma Regional, 2019
Abstract This study was performed to explore the variability of magnetic susceptibility between soil great groups in an arid region including seven soil great groups of south-eastern Iran. In the studied area 126 soil profiles were described and classified in seven soil great groups according Soil Survey Staff.
