Kinetics of potassium adsorption by Entisols of Greece

open access: yesCommunications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1994
Abstract The kinetics of potassium adsorption from solution to exchangeable phases was investigated on Entisols Herothern from central Greece. Potassium adsorption with time was evaluated on Ca‐saturated samples using 3.5, 16.8, 67.5 and 86.0 ppm initial concentrations and pH levels of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and 9.0.

Phosphorus Fractions and Their Transformations in Entisol

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Science, 2018
The availability of phosphorus in the soil is a factor that directly interferes with its absorption by plants. This availability can be influenced by the texture, dose of the phosphate fertilizer and the time of contact with the soil. This study aimed to quantify the organic and inorganic fractions of P accumulated in a sandy soil receiving doses of ...

Kinetic study of phosphorus desorption by Alfisols and Entisols

open access: yesCommunications in Soil Science and Plant Analysis, 1993
Abstract The kinetics of phosphorus (P) desorption by six Greek soils, four Alfisols and two Entisols, have been studied. By the addition of several amounts of P fertilizers at different water/soil rations and different contact times, that amount of P fertilizer required for the two major categories for Greek soils in order to avoid enviromental ...

Entisol Chemical Properties In The Organic Agriculture System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Science and Society, 2022
Farming systems based on high input energy materials (fossil materials), such as chemical fertilizers and pesticides, can damage soil properties and will ultimately reduce soil productivity in the future. Alternative agricultural systems using low input energy (LEE) are believed to be able to maintain soil fertility and environmental sustainability ...

Potassium Fertilization of Eucalyptus in an Entisol in Low-Elevation Cerrado [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ciência do Solo, 2019
ABSTRACT Potassium (K) is one of the most highly accumulating nutrients in Eucalyptus and, consequently, is heavily exported by the harvesting of wood. Moreover, its availability in the soil in most Brazilian plantation areas is very low, especially in the regions of the Cerrado biome, which has soils with low natural fertility and marked water ...

Potential of Species of Green Coverage in Entisol

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Science, 2019
The intensive use of the soil, associated with the application of chemical fertilizers, contribute to degradation processes that affect soil quality and crop production. The use of techniques that contribute to soil conservation and reduction of external inputsis important for the success of the agriculture, and hedging is an alternative. The objective
