Entity Linking with Distributional Semantics [PDF]
[Abstract] Entity Linking (EL) consists in linking name mentions in a given text with their referring entities in external knowledge bases such as DBpedia/Wikipedia. In this paper, we propose an EL approach whose main contribution is to make use of a knowledge base built by means of distributional similarity.

Gold standard, multi-genre dataset for named entity recognition and linking [PDF]
In our study, we introduce a new dataset designed for the evaluation of entity-linking systems. Entity Linking (EL) involves identifying specific segments in a text so-called mentions and linking them to relevant entries in an external Knowledge Base (KB)

Neural Collective Entity Linking
Entity Linking aims to link entity mentions in texts to knowledge bases, and neural models have achieved recent success in this task. However, most existing methods rely on local contexts to resolve entities independently, which may usually fail due to the data sparsity of local information.

Leveraging Entity Linking to Enhance Entity Recognition in Microblogs
The Web of Data provides abundant knowledge wherein objects or entities are described by means of properties and their relationships with other objects or entities. This knowledge is used extensively by the research community for Information Extraction tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Linking (NEL) to make sense of data.

Pair-Linking for Collective Entity Disambiguation: Two Could Be Better Than All [PDF]
Collective entity disambiguation aims to jointly resolve multiple mentions by linking them to their associated entities in a knowledge base. Previous works are primarily based on the underlying assumption that entities within the same document are highly

Entity Relation Linking Based on Feature Joint and Multi-Attention [PDF]
As the core component of question answering over knowledge base, entity linking and relation linking are often used as two independent tasks to connect the natural language questions to knowledge base information, which ignores the mutual influence ...

Entity Linking Based on Local Attention Mechanism for Chinese Short Text [PDF]
Entity linking is an effective method for strengthening semantic understanding and linking knowledge information to the text. However, the accuracy of most existing models in understanding the context is limited by the text length,so entity linking for ...
