Three New Ostracods (Ostracoda, Entocytheridae) from the Duck River Drainage in Tennessee

American Midland Naturalist, 1963
Three new entocytherid ostracods, Uncinocythere zancla, Anklyocythere hyba, and Dactylocythere xystroides, epizootic on crayfishes, are described from the Duck River system in Tennessee. All three, collected in two localities, are presumed to be associated with the crayfishes, Orconectes compressus, 0. rusticus placidus, 0. rusticus subsp.

Ecological Studies of the Entocytheridae (Ostracoda)

American Midland Naturalist, 1971
Crayfish collected from a central Texas farm pond are hosts for the entocytherid ostracod Ankylocythere sinuosa. Evidence indicates the entocytherids are commensals, since they survive for long periods in the absence of crayfish, but are dependent upon crayfish as a site for reproduction and development.
