Electromagnetic entrapment in gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We derive specific properties of electromagnetism when gravitational effects are not negligible and analyze their impact on new physics at the horizons of black holes. We show that a neutral configuration of charges in a region of high redshift, characterized by a large g tt ...

Biologically Active Implants Prevent Mortality in a Mouse Sepsis Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A modular, triple‐action titanium implant is developed to prevent implant‐associated infections by repelling bacteria, killing pathogens, and enhancing tissue integration. Coatings with phage cocktails targeting P. aeruginosa and S. aureus show significant bacterial reduction and improved survival in a mouse sepsis model.

Ossification of Superior Transverse Scapular Ligament and its Clinical Implications

open access: yesSultan Qaboos University Medical Journal, 2007
The superior transverse scapular ligament (STSL) bridges the suprascapular notch, converting it into a suprascapular foramen. The suprascapular nerves and the vessels traverse through the suprascapular foramen of the scapula.

Myeloperoxidase Luminol Reaction – A Novel Faecal Assay for Predicting Colonoscopy Findings in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis: A Pilot Cross‐Sectional Clinical Study

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Can luminol detect faecal inflammation? This study explores the development and optimisation of a rapid novel assay ‐ Myeloperoxidase Luminol Reaction (MPOLR) for the detection of faecal myeloperoxidase activity. This simple and rapid luminol‐based approach competes with clinically validated faecal biomarkers in predicting endoscopic findings in ...

Robust pH Sensing Using a Graphene Oxide and Covalent Organic Frameworks Composite for Gastro‐esophageal Reflux Disease Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A stable composite pH sensor is developed by coating graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets with covalent organic frameworks (COFs) to improve stability and sensitivity in acidic environments. The GO/COFs sensor demonstrates high selectivity, linearity, and biocompatibility, offering a promising strategy for continuous pH monitoring in gastro‐esophageal reflux

Entrapment of glucoamylase by sol-gel technique in PhTES/TEOS hybrid matrixes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Mesoporous silica particles were prepared by the sol-gel method from different alkoxysilane precursors and used as a host matrix for encapsulation of glucoamylase, an enzyme widely used in fermentative industry.
