Immobilized Microbial Cellulases in Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials
The Aspergillus niger cellulase was immobilized by entrapment in natrium alginate gels and in natrium alginate/silica gel hybrid materials. The silica gels were obtained using two different precursors, tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and tetramethoxysilane ...

Plasma‐Treated Hydrogel for Combined RONS and Chemotherapy Delivery: A Proof‐of‐Concept In Ovo
This study explores plasma‐treated hydrogels (PTH) as a new way to deliver both reactive oxygen and nitrogen species and chemotherapy (Doxorubicin) directly to tumors. In ovo tests show effects after a single dose, especially in osteosarcoma tumors. Tumor weight decrease, and a resistance‐related protein is reduced.

Nanodiamond‐Infused Microgels for pH‐Tunable Rheology, Lubrication, and UV Protection
Microgels consisting of swollen polyacrylic acid polymer networks, impregnated with nanodiamonds provide protection from ultraviolet (UV) radiation harmful to human health. Nanodiamonds enable UV blockage and control of the rheology (flow) and lubrication (skin‐feel) of these microgel‐skincare‐mimics.

Differential Compartmentalization of Enzymatic Reactions for Lactate Signaling Across Protocells
Two populations of protocells consisting of giant unilamellar vesicles containing active species and distinct artificial organelles are competent of collective behavior by mimicking production, intercellular communication, and detection of the bioinspired signal molecule lactate. Enzymatic cascade reactions within artificial organelles demonstrate that
