Entropy Landscaping of High‐Entropy Carbides
Advanced Materials, 2021AbstractThe entropy landscape of high‐entropy carbides can be used to understand and predict their structure, properties, and stability. Using first principles calculations, the individual and temperature‐dependent contributions of vibrational, electronic, and configurational entropies are analyzed, and compare them qualitatively to the enthalpies of ...

In this paper we study the numerical determination of the different reduction entropies (or α-entropies) of dynamical systems from time series. This method is advocated as a more suitable way to investigate the different aspects of sensitive dependence on initial positions than the determination of Lyapunov exponents, especially in the case of “noisy”

Entropy and Entropy Production
1973The limitations of a thermodynamic theory of a continuum by the atomic structure of matter are briefly discussed. They imply that any thermodynamic theory is of an approximate nature. Main emphasis is laid on the concept of a nonequilibrium entropy. It is shown that to an isothermal electrical network one can apply thermodynamic reasoning.

Multiplicative Entropy-Energy Product Entropy VS Statistical Entropy
Abstract:This paper introduces a novel entropy formulation — multiplicative entropy — defined as the product of energy values across all units in a closed system. Unlike traditional statistical entropy, this approach explicitly tracks irreversible energy redistribution pathways, offering an analytic and path-dependent description of entropy growth ...openaire +1 more source
