Lepton loss and entropy generation in stellar collapse
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1983The effects of uncertainties in determining the loss of neutrinos and the generation of entropy during the collapse of a stellar core are studied using a simple spherically-symmetric homologous collapse model with an improved treatment for the excited nuclei.

A comparison of the entropies of collapsing stars and black holes
Chinese Astronomy and Astrophysics, 1982Abstract We considered three modes of black hole formation: (I) a black hole kernel first forms at the centre of a collapsing star and as the outer matter falls, the kernel grows until the whole star becomes a black hole; (II) all the layers of a collapsing simultaneously satisfy the Schwarzschild condition; (III) the outermost layer first satisfies ...

Entropy change in axial symmetric gravitational collapse
International Journal of Theoretical Physics, 1996We calculate the entropy changes of an imperfect-fluid gravitational collapsing system in the axial symmetric situation, analyzing a practical example. We conclude that the entropy of the collapsing system decreases at the beginning of the collapse and then increases very near the system's horizon.

Combating Mode Collapse via Offline Manifold Entropy Estimation
Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2023Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have shown compelling results in various tasks and applications in recent years. However, mode collapse remains a critical problem in GANs. In this paper, we propose a novel training pipeline to address the mode collapse issue of GANs.

THE GEODESIC ENTROPY COLLAPSE ENGINE™
SSRN Electronic JournalThis working paper presents the Geodesic Entropy Collapse Engine™ (GECE™), the mathematical architecture of identity resolution under constraint in Human Locomotor Dynamics™ (HLD™) and Combat Engineering™. Filed as Matrix Concepts Claim III, the GECE™ is the computational framework that implements the governing equation of HLD™: Outcome = argmin ...
