Organic artificial neurons couple mechanical deformation and ionic environments through nonlinear mechano‐electrochemical dynamics. Mechanical strain and electrolyte concentration reshape their nonlinear electrical characteristics, programming excitatory or inhibitory spiking responses that mimic mechanosensitive biological neurons and enable ...

Forecasting using relative entropy [PDF]
The paper describes a relative entropy procedure for imposing moment restrictions on simulated forecast distributions from a variety of models. Starting from an empirical forecast distribution for some variables of interest, the technique generates a new

Generalized inverse limits and topological entropy
Generalized inverse limits are generalization of standard inverse limits in a way that in the corresponding inverse system bonding functions are upper semicontinuous (u.s.c.) functions instead of continuous functions. Concept was introduced in 2004 in [31] and later in 2006 in [28] and since then, theory has been developing rapidly.

Hierarchical multi‐material TPMS lattices are engineered as flexible tactile sensors by combining soft and stiff elastomeric layers with a conformal conductive coating. The bilayer architecture delivers sensitivity at low pressures while maintaining a broad detectable range under large loads, enabling reliable pressure and vibration monitoring for ...

Topological slow entropy, sequence entropy, and generalized $[T,T^{-1}]$ systems
We consider topological dynamical systems given by skew products $S\rtimes_τ T$, where $S\colon Y\to Y$ is a subshift, $τ\colon Y\to\mathbb{Z}$ is a continuous cocycle, and $T$ is an arbitrary invertible topological system. For fixed $(Y,S,τ)$ it may happen that all systems of the form $S\rtimes_τT$ have the same topological entropy, and thus it arises

Topological entropy is generically infinite for non-Lipschitz velocity fields
We prove that for any Osgood non-Lipschitz modulus of continuity $ω$, flow maps associated with time-periodic $ω$-continuous velocity fields generically (in the sense of Baire) have infinite topological entropy.

3D‐Printed Corneal Substitutes: Materials, Fabrication, and Preclinical Progress
Successful clinical translation of 3D‐printed corneal substitutes relies on the interplay between the bioink properties, cellular component, and the fabrication process. These factors influence the critical properties of the construct, including optical transparency, mechanical stability, suture retention, that ultimately govern long‐term stromal ...

Topology of utility possibility frontiers of economies with Ramsey taxation [PDF]
This paper establishes the generic size and structure of the second-best Pareto frontier and its various components in private ownership economies with Ramsey taxation. It provides conditions under which the second-best Pareto frontier of an economy with

A physics‐informed generative framework introduces Directional Latent Hybridization (DLH) for the deterministic inverse design of nonlinear metamaterials. By hybridizing dominant traits from parent geometries in the latent space, DLH overcomes the instabilities of stochastic models to ensure high structural precision at high densities.
