Entry by Spinoffs

Management Science, 2005
Entry by spinoffs from incumbent firms is investigated for the laser industry. A model in which spinoffs exploit knowledge from their parents is constructed to explain the market conditions conducive to spinoffs, the types of firms that spawn spinoffs, and the relationship of spinoffs to their parents.

Maturation of the mammalian dorsal root entry zone- from entry to no entry

Trends in Neurosciences, 1997
Interfaces between glial cell precursors of the PNS and CNS are established early in development and form the sites where sensory axons enter and motor axons exit the developing CNS. The molecular and cellular interactions that lead to the formation of these glial interfaces are only now becoming apparent. New in-vitro techniques are providing clues as

An entrant is capable of switching pr oduction between markets faster than firms in general can adjust thei r total ...

Entry Policy and Entry Subsidies

Review of International Economics, 1999
Optimal entry policy is considered in markets served by both domestic and foreign firms. Compared with the prior entry literature, introducing foreign producers as market participants reduces incentives for entry deterrence and enhances incentives for entry subsidization. Incentives are changed because entry produces “terms‐of‐trade” gains. The optimal

Viral Entry

2015
Epstein-Barr virus primarily, though not exclusively, infects B cells and epithelial cells. Many of the virus and cell proteins that are involved in entry into these two cell types in vitro have been identified, and their roles in attachment and fusion are being explored.
