A radar detector using quantized envelope samples
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1986The detection of a sequence of echo pulses with random carrier phase is an important problem in radar. It is well known that, to a first approximation, the optimum receiver is a quadratic detector for small signal-to-noise ratios and is a linear detector for large signal-to-noise ratios.

Constant envelope OFDM signals for radar applications
2008 IEEE Radar Conference, 2008Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar signals, because of their prominent properties have been recently of interest of many researchers. But the large amplitude fluctuations of the OFDM signals makes it susceptible to system nonlinearities.

Constant envelope waveform design for MIMO radar
2010 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2010A method for generating constant envelope (CE) waveforms to realise a given covariance matrix for a closely spaced MIMO radar system is proposed. In contrast to available algorithms, the technique provides closed form solutions for finding the required waveforms and suggests that waveforms can be chosen from finite alphabets such as binary-phase shift ...

Schedulability Envelope for Real-Time Radar Dwell Scheduling
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 2006This paper proposes novel techniques for scheduling radar dwells in phased array radar systems. In order to handle complex physical characteristics such as dwell interleaving, transmitting duty cycle constraint, and energy constraint, we propose a notion of schedulability envelope.

Constant envelope chirped OFDM for power-efficient radar communication
2016 IEEE Information Technology, Networking, Electronic and Automation Control Conference, 2016In increasing radar performance, radar waveform and waveform attributes are key elements. Among different waveforms, Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) or simply chirp waveform attains best performance in terms of Doppler tolerance and time resolution.
