Constant envelope waveform design to increase range resolution and SINR in correlated MIMO radar
Abstract In this paper we consider the problem of waveform design in correlated MIMO radars in order to increase SINR and range resolution. In the proposed method, we try to satisfy both practical constraints of having constant envelope waveforms and low side lobe levels in individual waveforms autocorrelation function and cross-correlation function.

An Envelope Alignment Method for Terahertz Radar ISAR Imaging of Maneuvering Targets
A novel envelope alignment technique for terahertz radar ISAR imaging of maneuvering targets is presented in this paper. This method selects a single pulse echo as the envelope alignment benchmark through the correlation coefficient of adjacent range profiles, which solves the problems of jump error and drift error in the conventional adjacent ...

Search and track coordination in multi-ship multi-radar systems using schedulability envelope
This paper addresses the search and track coordination problems of multiple shipboard radars. The proposed approach first exploits the physical characteristics of a single phased array radar to improve its effective capacity. Its effective capacity is abstracted by a closed-form equation called a schedulability envelope.

Full Waveform Inversion of Cross-hole Radar Data Using Envelope Objective Function
The full waveform inversion (FWI) has been used as a high resolution imaging method for cross-hole radar inversion implementation, however, when FWI is used to process field data, it encounters a variety of problems and causes the inversion to fall into a local minimum. One problem is that the GPR data lacks low frequency information.

Resolution Improvement Algorithm With Two Targets Using Envelope of the Beat Signals for FMCW Radars
This paper proposes a resolution improvement algorithm with two targets using the envelope of the beat signals for frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar. The range resolution of FMCW radars is determined by the bandwidth, as the size of the bandwidth is proportional to the observation window (OW).

A radar detector using quantized envelope samples
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1986Abstract The detection of a sequence of echo pulses with random carrier phase is an important problem in radar. It is well known that, to a first approximation, the optimum receiver is a quadratic detector for small signal-to-noise ratios and is a linear detector for large signal-to-noise ratios.

Constant envelope OFDM signals for radar applications
2008 IEEE Radar Conference, 2008Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radar signals, because of their prominent properties have been recently of interest of many researchers. But the large amplitude fluctuations of the OFDM signals makes it susceptible to system nonlinearities.

Assessment of Constant Envelope OFDM as a Class of Random FM Radar Waveforms [PDF]
Random FM radar waveforms designed to possess a desirable spectral shape (on average) have been experimentally demonstrated for an increasing number of applications. However, the benefits of these waveforms can be offset by the computational cost of performing real-time spectral-shaping optimization for each random initial waveform.

Envelope Extraction Algorithm for Amplitude Sorting of Radar Emitter Signals [PDF]
The sorting accuracy of the radar emitter signal-sorting algorithm is reduced in a complex electromagnetic environment. In view of this problem, we proposed an envelope extraction algorithm for amplitude sorting of radar emitter signals in this paper.

Schedulability Envelope for Real-Time Radar Dwell Scheduling
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 2006This paper proposes novel techniques for scheduling radar dwells in phased array radar systems. In order to handle complex physical characteristics such as dwell interleaving, transmitting duty cycle constraint, and energy constraint, we propose a notion of schedulability envelope.
