Fake Tax Residency and Tax Competition

open access: yesScottish Journal of Political Economy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wealthy individuals exploit jurisdictional tax differences through mobility, challenging residence‐based tax systems—particularly via fictitious residency changes. We examine theoretically two countries competing to maximize tax revenues from wealthy individuals while auditing fraudulent residency claims.

Compression of Polyconvex Envelopes of Isotropic Functions via Monotonic Input Convex Neural Networks

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT This work presents a novel neural‐network compression approach for polyconvex envelopes of isotropic functions. The approach relies on a classical sufficient criterion for polyconvexity and is particularly suited for the representation of determinant‐constrained energy densities arising in non‐linear elasticity.

Fractional Moment Theory for Anomalous Transport: A Unified Framework for Lévy Flights, Fractals, and Complex Dynamical Systems

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 13, Page 14964-15009, 15 September 2026.
ABSTRACT We develop a unified mathematical framework extending classical moment theory from discrete integer orders to a continuous spectrum of real orders f>0$$ f>0 $$, providing a systematic statistical characterization of complex systems exhibiting power‐law behavior.

Temperature Sensitivity and Adaptation of Cereal Yields: Empirical Evidence From Italy

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 1005-1017, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the evolving temperature sensitivity and climate adaptation of cereal yields in Italy from 1952 to 2023, using province‐level data for maize, common wheat, and durum wheat. Employing panel data econometric methods, we estimate yield responses to heat exposure, changes in sensitivity over time, and adaptation to climate ...

Morphological State Transitions and Sediment Transport Variability in Braided Rivers

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Sediment transport in braided rivers shows significant temporal variability, characterized by intense bursts of transport rates even under steady‐state conditions. These fluctuations are often viewed as the consequence of random variations in the local hydraulic conditions and sediment movement.
