Advertising Media and the Green Environmental Aspect [PDF]

open access: yes
Previous research has shown that consumer trust in advertising is low and continues to diminish. Researchers have also found that a big share of advertising investments is placed in less favorable media which can contribute to consumers’ increasing ...

Targeting DNA‐LNPs to Endothelial Cells Improves Expression Magnitude, Duration, and Specificity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Attaching antibodies against endothelial cell surface proteins redirects the delivery and expression of DNA‐lipid nanoparticles to organs of interest. Our targeted nanoparticles enable organ‐selective DNA expression in the endothelium of the lungs, brain, or spleen, providing a therapeutic platform for dozens of endothelial‐centric diseases.

DLP 4D Printing of Programmable Molecularly‐Engineered Liquid Crystal Elastomer Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce an original and versatile approach for printing liquid crystal elastomers that exhibit reversible shape morphing using digital light processing. 3D‐tructures are printed in a partially cured state, mechanically programmed, and then fully crosslinked to fix molecular alignment.

Dead Matter, Living Machines: Repurposing Crustaceans' Abdomen Exoskeleton for Bio‐Hybrid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Crustacean exoskeletons, repurposed from food waste, are engineered into sustainable bending actuators combining biotic structure with synthetic control. The augmented exoskeletons achieve rapid and robust motion with lightweight body and can be used as part of robotic manipulators, grippers and swimmers.

Heat waves, droughts, and preferences for environmental policy [PDF]

open access: yes
Using data from a new household survey on environmental attitudes, behaviors, and policy preferences, we find that current weather conditions affect preferences for environmental regulation. Individuals who have recently experienced extreme weather (heat

FOCUS: A Four‐In‐One Consolidated Unison Strain Sensor with Enhanced Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through a folding transformation that stacks four printed liquid metal sensors into a unified 3D orthogonal construct, FOCUS harnesses complementary bidirectional resistance responses within a Wheatstone bridge. This architecture yields fivefold sensitivity enhancement and 25 µm resolution, overcoming LM sensors’ micro‐strain limitations and enabling ...
