Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

This chapter explores the relationship between environmental governance and urban environmental education. It first provides an overview of environmental governance and governance networks before discussing research on the prevalence of organizations conducting environmental education in governance networks in Asian, European, and U.S. cities.

Towards global environmental governance
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2021In order to finance climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts, a diversified taxation scheme is proposed. To find a fair and just distribution of the burden of climate change, a taxation mix of (1) consumption tax, (2) progressive tax and (3) inheritance tax is recommended.

Environmental governance as performance
2019In advanced industrial societies, the democratic involvement of multiple stakeholders at all stages of the policy-process is constitutive to good environmental governance. Yet, these new participatory forms of policy-making have been found wanting in both ecological and democratic terms. Why then have they become so prominent?
