Beneficial Body Mass Index for Age‐Related Kidney Function in Males and Females
AGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.The impact of BMI on age‐related kidney function decline is highly sex‐ and age‐dependent. Normal BMI (18.5–25 kg/m2) is associated with better age‐related kidney function in all‐aged males and females older than 45 years. Dielectric Elastomer Actuators as Safe and Effective Tools for Mechanostimulation of Human Cells
Advanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.Replicating physiological forces is crucial for realistic cell models. Dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs) offer a soft alternative, though their high voltages raised toxicity concerns. We demonstrate that DEA stimulation causes no cell damage, cell death or cell‐cycle disruption, while activating mechanosensitive responses.
