Capillary Electrophoretic Enzyme Assays

2013
In the past years, capillary electrophoresis has become a frequently used technique for enzyme assays due to the high separation efficiency and versatility as well as small sample size and low consumption of chemicals. The capillary electrophoresis assays can be divided into two general categories: pre-capillary (or offline) assays and in-capillary (or

Optimizing coupled enzyme assays

Analytical Biochemistry, 1979
Abstract Equations are given for minimizing the cost and calculating the maximum practical rates for coupled assays when two or more coupling enzymes are involved, and a lag of a predetermined size can be tolerated. The lag caused by obligatory mutarotation of an intermediate is also calculated.

HORMONE AND ENZYME ASSAYS IN PREGNANCY

Acta Endocrinologica, 1974
ABSTRACT The cystine-aminopeptidase (CAP)1) activity of placental origin (P-CAP) and of tissue origin (T-CAP) has been investigated in plasma from non-pregnant women, during normal pregnancy, in pregnancies complicated with severe pre-eclampsia and in plasma from the umbilical cord.

Methodology of Radiotracer Enzyme Assays

1968
The inherent sensitivity and specificity of radiotracer enzyme assays has resulted in a rapid increase in their development and application: Also, as additional radiochemicals become commercially available, new assay procedures are being devised. Although radiochemicals have been utilized for enzyme assays for more than a decade, no review of the ...
