Enzyme Histochemistry for Functional Histology in Invertebrates [PDF]
In invertebrates, enzyme histochemistry has recently found a renaissance regarding its applications in morphology and ecology. Many enzyme activities are useful for the morphofunctional characterization of cells, as biomarkers of biological and pathologic processes, and as markers of the response to environmental stressors.

Enzyme Histochemistry and Importance
Enzymes are living components of biological systems. Many would catalysts in biochemical reactions and are essential for the occurrence of the metabolic processes in tissues. Enzyme histochemistry, occupies an important place in histological staining. In this review show the dye used in a variety of tissue enzyme are taken manually .

Use of enzyme histochemistry in the diagnosis of pancreatoblastoma
Histopathology, 1989The macroscopic, light microscopic and ultrastructural findings in a case of pancreatoblastoma in a neonate are presented. No evidence for exocrine or endocrine secretion could be found by histochemistry, immunocytochemistry or electron microscopy.

Cancer is responsible for one out of three deaths in Europe and the development of new therapeutic approaches is one of the main research interests worldwide. Despite great variety in cancer types and origin, cancerogenesis is primarily based on uncontrolled cellular proliferation accompanied by subsequent dissemination to other body parts.

ON ENZYME HISTOCHEMISTRY OF SARCOIDOSIS
Acta Pathologica Microbiologica Scandinavica Section A Pathology, 1973Hydrolase and oxidoreductase activity in mediastinal sarcoid lymph nodes of 20 patients was studied. Alkaline phosphatase activity was concentrated in the fibrous periphery of the tubercles, the lymphatic pulp and capillary walls. Strong acid phosphatase and moderate non‐specific esterase activity was seen in the tubercles, particularly in the nuclei ...

Enzyme histochemistry of ovarian tumors
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1968Abstract The activities of 6-hydrolytic enzymes and 5-dehydrogenases were investigated histochemically in 94 ovarian tumors. The activities of several enzyme systems (alkaline phosphatase, 5-nucleotidase, and nonspecific esterases) suggest anaplastic ovarian carcinoma to be related to or derived from papillary adenocarcinoma.
