Bunun için isyanlar eden Rumlar, Makarios’un başpiskopos olmasından sonra Enosis’i gerçekleştirmek için, Yunanistan’dan gönderilen Grivas ile birlikte EOKA isminde bir terör örgütü kurmuşlardır.
