A Mathematical Model for Two‐Phase Flow in Confined Environments: Numerical Solution and Validation

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 3, Page 306-320, March 2026.
We present a numerical framework based on the Cahn‐Hilliard‐Navier‐Stokes (CHNS) model to simulate biphasic flow in confined environments. After deriving the mathematical model, we develop the weak form of the system of PDEs using a pedagogical approach to enable its implementation in FEniCS.

An Improved Fast Method for the Evaluation of Surfactants in Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, Volume 29, Issue 2, Page 177-182, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Evaluating oil displacement efficiency is an essential step in selecting surfactants for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) applications, incorporating crude oil, rock, and formation water. Originally, the rock layer for such investigations was prepared on a glass sheet using organic solvents.

Efficacy and hypoglycaemia outcomes of once‐weekly insulin icodec versus once‐daily basal insulin comparators across baseline HbA1c, BMI and duration of type 2 diabetes subgroups: A post hoc analysis of ONWARDS 1–5

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 1778-1790, March 2026.
Abstract Aims This post hoc analysis assessed efficacy and hypoglycaemia outcomes of once‐weekly insulin icodec (icodec) versus once‐daily (OD) basal insulin comparators across different baseline glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), body mass index (BMI) and type 2 diabetes (T2D) duration subgroups using data from five phase 3a trials of icodec in adults with

Assessment of Bottom Trawl Impacts on the Status of Seabed Communities in European Seas

open access: yesFish and Fisheries, Volume 27, Issue 2, Page 285-299, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Bottom trawling affects seabed habitats, but its large‐scale impacts remain poorly quantified. Assessment of trawling impacts is essential to support monitoring and achieving sustainability objectives under international conventions, sustainable development goals, and seafood certification programs.
