Polyphenolic Activation of Basophils Explains Alcohol Hypersensitivity in AERD
The mechanism behind alcohol sensitivity in AERD has not been previously characterized. This study demonstrates the activation of basophils in patients with CRSwNP and AERD by polyphenolic compounds, but not ethanol.
