EPDM is the designation agreed upon by ASTM and IISRP for ethylene-propylene rubber, where "E" and "P" stand for ethylene and propylene, respectively. "D" designates the nonconjugated diene that provides a site of unsaturation for sulfur vulcanization, and "M" refers to the polymethylene saturated backbone of the polymer, i.e., CHr(CH2 )n-CH2 (Fig. 1)

Abstract Sulfur-cured EPDM building-profile material was reclaimed in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder using hexadecylamine as reclaiming aid. This reclaim was blended with increasing amounts of a virgin EPDM roof-sheeting masterbatch and cured at temperatures allowing for a reversion-free vulcanization.

Graft polimerizacija stirena na etilen-propilen-dienski kopolimer (EPDM) provedena je u heptanu uz inicijator benzoil peroksid. Sadržaj homopolimera EPDM-a i PS-a u pripravi graft kopolimera EPDM-g-PS je 1:1. Reakcijska smjesa polimera razdvojena je na homopolimer i graft kopolimer i određena je konverzija te njihovi udjeli.
