INPOP08, a 4-D planetary ephemeris: From asteroid and time-scale computations to ESA Mars Express and Venus Express contributions

open access: yes, 2009
The latest version of the planetary ephemerides developed at the Paris Observatory and at the Besancon Observatory is presented here. INPOP08 is a 4-dimension ephemeris since it provides to users positions and velocities of planets and the relation ...

4. Ephemerides [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the International Astronomical Union, 1970
The appended reports of the directors of the national ephemeris offices provide a record of the current activity in the publication and preparation of astronomical ephemerides, including those published for use by navigators and surveyors and those prepared for astronomers whose special needs are not met in the printed almanacs.

Passive‐acoustic evidence of lunar, temporal, and weather effects on the vocal activity of four coexisting forest owl species in southern Taiwan

open access: yesJournal of Avian Biology, Volume 2026, Issue 3, May 2026.
Lunar illumination and environmental conditions are known to shape vocal behavior of nocturnal birds, but few studies have simultaneously compared responses across multiple owl species. Using a full‐year passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) dataset from Yushan National Park, Taiwan, we investigated how four sympatric Strigidae species – mountain scops‐owl

Orbits for sixteen binaries [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 2006
In this paper orbits for 13 binaries are recalculated and presented. The reason is that recent observations show higher residuals than the corresponding ephemerides calculated by using the orbital elements given in the Sixth Catalog of Orbits of Visual ...

Post‐Acquisition Image‐Based Localization for High Resolution Thermal and Visible/Shortwave Infrared Images With Application to the Lunar Trailblazer Mission

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract The Lunar Trailblazer mission aimed to assess the presence of water on the lunar surface using imaging spectroscopy in visible shortwave infrared (VSWIR) coupled with high‐resolution multispectral imaging in thermal midwave‐infrared (MWIR), captured simultaneously over the same target from orbit around the Moon with two different instruments ...

Accurate and Rapid Broadcast Ephemerides for Beidou-Maneuvered Satellites

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
The geostationary earth orbit (GEO) and inclined geosynchronous orbit (IGSO) satellites of the Beidou navigation satellite system are maneuvered frequently. The broadcast ephemeris can be interrupted for several hours after the maneuver.

The Contribution of the Russell‐McPherron Effect to the Semiannual Variation in Thermospheric Density

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract A number of external sources and internal circulation mechanisms have been proposed to explain the well‐known semiannual variation in global mean thermospheric densities. We use the polarity of the Y $Y$‐component (dawn to dusk) of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) in the Geocentric Solar Equatorial (GSEQ) frame to identify the influence,

ACCURACY TESTING OF THE ONLINE FREE GNSS PPP SERVICES, AS A FUNCION OF OBSERVATION DURATION AND THE ELAPSED TIME FROM MEASUREMENT EPOCH TO EPOCH OF MEASUREMENT COMPUTATION [PDF]

open access: yesGeodetski Glasnik, 2011
Use of PPP has become possible since the advent of precise satellite ephemerides and clock corrections from IGS. This work represents a research in attainable accuracy and reliability of the free online GNSS services (APPS, CSRS, GAPS, magicGNSS ...

Can the Pioneer anomaly be of gravitational origin? A phenomenological answer

open access: yes, 2007
In order to satisfy the equivalence principle, any non-conventional mechanism proposed to gravitationally explain the Pioneer anomaly, in the form in which it is presently known from the so-far analyzed Pioneer 10/11 data, cannot leave out of ...

The May 2024 Superstorm Coronal Mass Ejections as Observed by the Psyche Gamma‐Ray and Neutron Spectrometer

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract We report new measurements of high‐energy protons ejected by the sun during the May 2024 Ganon superstorm. Our observations were made by the Neutron Spectrometer (NS) on the Psyche spacecraft, which was located at a solar distance of approximately 2 AU and a Sun‐Earth‐Probe separation angle of 75°.
