Stress Assessment of Gear Teeth in Epicyclic Gear Train for Radial Sedimentation Tank
Abstract The paper presents the strength evaluation of planetary gear teeth designed for a radial sedimentation tank drive. A novel type of gear drive, composed of a closed epicyclic gear train and an open gear train with internal cycloidal gear mesh is proposed.

Design, Load Analysis and Optimization of Epicyclic Gear Trains
Abstract: Mechanical power transmission systems rely heavily on Epicyclic gear trains, as their failure can compromise the entire system. Consequently, identifying and mitigating the causes of gear failure is crucial. Various gear failure modes, including bending pitting (contact stresses), failure (load failure), abrasive wear, and scoring, are ...

The experimental study and numerical simulation of falling liquid film flow on horizontal tubes [PDF]
This research is motivated by two observations: No report has been found so far in studies of water falling film up to 100 mm intertube spacing. No simulation analysis of film thickness under influence of intertube spacing in 3 dimensional models ...

Enumeration of Epicyclic-Type Automatic Transmission Gear Trains [PDF]
<div class="htmlview paragraph">An automotive transmission maintains a proper equilibrium between the power and torque produced by an engine and those demanded by the drive wheels. Most automatic, transmissions employ some kind of epicyclic gear mechanisms to achieve the above purpose.

Many key parts of mechanical equipment gradually enter failure period with service, and failures happen in some of them, it will lead to serious consequences with economic loss and crash of machine and death of human if weak failures cannot be identified in time, which might degrade to major failure.

Magnetic materials are key players for the development and implementation of novel intelligent systems. Herein, the fabrication of 3D‐printed magnetic polymer composites with both tailored geometries and magnetic properties is investigated. Self‐contained mechanisms, which comprise multiple parts (magnetic and nonmagnetic) without the need for assembly,
